Le Corbusier

I'm going to write about Charles-Édouard Jeanneret-Gris more known like "Le Corbusier". He was an  great architect, painter, designer of spaces and urbanist in the first part of the XX century. He was born in Swittzerland but his nacionality changed to Francois. Le Corbusier's projects was very interesting for him age, he presented new shapes of architecture about the changes that society was living after first world war and also how new industries materials and him ideas will can to help in the life of people. He was one of the first architects that talk to "Modern Architecture". I like him because him vision is revolucionary and social. He search solutions for all people. He created housins with best conditions for live. Some of him works was “Ville Savoye” and “Ville Radieuse”. He presented five ideas or parameters to follow for built a good live. This was questioned in him age for him radical vision but along time he had appreciation. I admire people that can to do beneficial changes for society. Other architects of “Modern movement” were Mies van der Rohe, Walter Gropius and Frank Lloyd Wright.

This is a special photography for me because it show me with my little brother in a difficult moment, althought our faces don't show it.

In the background is the hospital where my grandfather died.

I with my family often went to see him. He was very thin. He had cancer.

I personally don’t show much my emotions but it is hard to see your family suffer, in these moments the force and energy that is created between the family is very important.

My grandma was very sad and worried. She always has been with us. She care us and we to her.

I love my family and I always will want the best for them, although the life can to have high and small. Things that one haven’t control.

I think this photo have a story very different from what you see, but the emotions that I remember for it are a lot.

My favourite piece of technology

I think that my favourite piece of technology is my smartphone because it's very useful. Although today is an element very important for communication for everybody, it serves for all. I like the smartphone because I love music and watch videos haha. I travel for 1 hour to university or a little more and I need to do something. Also, I must say that I enjoy playing music for my friends or at a party, I have a varied taste of music for all the time that I spend on youtube haha.
Obviously, I use smathphone for other things but the most part of the time I do it. Really, I still use it for everything. It serves me for inform me and know that be happening in the world. Also, I always have that be connected with my partners of taller so i'ts a piece very important for my academic life. In fact, without smartphones, our life would be very different. Without smartphones, how would we communicate?

Why did I choose my major?

Originally I didn't have a specific major that I wanted to study. I never knew that really I wanted to study, but I choose the major of Architecture for my skills and tastes. I like so much to draw and mathematics. In special physics, how the life is created around of this and how the forces affect in our cotidian actions. I thought to study engineering in civil works but I also wanted to study something related with art or design, because from small I draw a lot and I like crafts. I decide to study Architecture because it have a little of both. Althought I also thought be a football's player. I always played football in my infancy and I loved to do it.
I think that I'm a good player and deportist but I never try to be a profesional.
My experience in the university is good althought sometimes can to be a few hard haha. Architecture is a hard major because I often have to work for the workshop and study for subjects. I haven't very time to do other things in my cotidian life but well I'm happy with it, I'm learning very much.
I want to work in design of new shapes for construction and investigate new materials.

Who I am?

Hello, my name is Ricardo Álvarez. I'm 21 years old. I was born in 1997 in Santiago. My birthday is 19 of May, this is coming haha. I have lived in Quilicura since 2000 because my sister was born and my old house have't sufficient space. I like Quilicura but the travels to the center are very long, although I should say that I get used. Here I studied in Colegio San Pedro, it´s a catolic school. After I studied in the Instituto Nacional in Santiago. I'm studying Arquitecture in the Universidad de Chile.
I like sports so much, most part of my life I play football in the school, and now too in the university but I can´t go to training because I have English class.
I live with my mom, my dad, my sister and my brother. I love my family, it´s very nice, beautiful and funny. Everyone are very good persons and I love them.
